Washington, December 31 (ANI): Former 'Spice Girl' Melanie Chisholm, who is pregnant at the moment, will not give birth at home because she fears something may go wrong.

She is expecting her first child by partner Thomas Starr in February next year.

The pop star insists that she will rush to hospital whenever she goes into labour because she does not want to risk giving birth at home.

"We're really excited now. The nausea has passed and I haven't had any weird cravings. I'm in my third trimester so this is when I really start to feel big and it's starting to become difficult to sleep. I've ditched the heels now and it's flat boots all the way," Contactmusic quoted her as telling British magazine Reveal.

"I want to give birth in hospital, rather than at home, just in case something goes wrong - especially as it's my first," she added.

Chisholm also insisted that she did not want to know whether the baby inside her womb was a boy or a girl.

"I don't want to know what's in there, I want it to be a surprise - I just hope there's only one!" she said.

She, however, admitted that the pregnancy was taking its toll on her by robbing her of sleep, and forcing her to stop wearing her beloved high heels. (ANI)

New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Samantha Ronson has denied lover Lindsay Lohan's dad's claims that she hijacked the actress' MySpace page.

Michael had accused Ronson of writing a post on the 'Mean Girls' blog stating that Michael cheated on his wife and fathered a love child behind Lindsay's mum's back, reports the China Daily.

The post on Lindsay's MySpace page reads: "My father just let my family and me know, amongst other things, that he had another child after my little sister Aliana. He cheated on my mother and that really sucks... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"

Michael has launched his own website www.MikeLohanOnline.com in response to the post, which says he is "99 per cent" sure Samantha wrote the entry.

However, Samantha has laughed off the allegation and denied barging into Lindsay's blog to write posts. "Ha! That's funny, but I don't ghost-write MySpace blogs. Good thing he left that one per cent window open so he wasn't 100 per cent wrong for once," Samantha said. (ANI)

London, Dec 30 (ANI): Welsh singer songwriter Duffy has made it to the No 1 spot on the top ten music sales charts with her debut album 'Rockferry'.

Duffy's album sold 1.685 million copies to take the No 1 spot from Take That, who have been moved to the second spot, with their album 'The Circus'.

Kings of Leon's 'Only By The Night' took the third spot, and Leona Lewis' 'Spirit' took the fourth.

'Viva La Vida...' by Coldplay wrapped up the top five.

In the top ten singles category, British soul/pop singer Alexandra Burke took the top spot with her version of 'Hallelujah'.

Burke, an X Factor winner, sold 888,000 copies of her single in the last two weeks of the year and earned herself the No 1 spot for biggest selling single.

The second spot went to X Factor finalists for their song 'Hero', and the third spot went to Duffy for 'Mercy'.

Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl' took the fourth spot, Nickelback's 'Rockstar' came in fifth.

"Duffy and Alexandra Burke have been the biggest new arrivals on the British music scene over the past year, bar none," the BBC quoted OCC managing director Martin Talbot as saying.

"But the biggest selling singles and albums of the year also show that talent, both new and old, can make an impact, if the music is right.

"Besides the obvious impact of the X Factor artists, including Burke, Leona Lewis and this year's finalists, Duffy, Katy Perry, Sam Sparro and Scouting For Girls all scored big to show that new talent can make an impact," he added. The top ten albums of 2008 are as follows:

1) Rockferry - Duffy

2) The Circus - Take That

3) Only By The Night - Kings of Leon

4) Spirit - Leona Lewis

5) Viva La Vida... - Coldplay

London, Dec 30 (ANI): English musician Dave Stewart has managed to create waves again, and this time it is for his diamond-studded 1,000 pounds sex toy.

Stewart, 56, worked with a specialist adults-only firm to devise and market the Little Steel Tonight vibrator, which is made of solid steel with a "satin finish" and a band of 28 diamonds.

A bizarre attachment to the toy though is a guitar pick, with the lyrics from Stewart's latest solo song, 'Let's Do It Again', scrawled on it.

Buying the toy also ensures that its owners get a code that allows them to download the tune.

His Rock Fabulous range with firm Jimmyjane also includes the 100 pounds vibrator Little Chroma Tonight, and it describes the Little Steel as "the ultimate backstage pass".

"Our vibrators are the world's quietest - all the better to enjoy the music," the Sun quoted Jimmyjane as saying. (ANI)

Washington, Dec 30 (ANI): Barack Obama's presence in Hawaii has proved lucky for the local economy, for his popularity has resulted in narrated tours of the president-elect's childhood in Honolulu.

People who fail to catch a glimpse of the magnetic Obama are being offered the chance to revisit his past via the tours.

Narrated tours of Obama's childhood, costing more than 40 dollars, are big business in Honolulu. They stop at the apartment building he grew up in, a favorite lunch hangout and the local ice cream store.

Even the vendors at the Waikiki Beach tourist shops are riding the Barack Obama wave.

"We started off with one design, and it just was such a hit we decided to create another design," CBS News quoted Taylor Kwak of Crazy Shirts and T's, as saying.

Its all part of the growing Obama brand - soon to be president but already global celebrity. (ANI)
