THURSDAY, June 26, (News Locale) - Asus has announced the launch of a sleek and stylish mini PDA called the P320 in India. With its trendy finish and polished looks, Asus is clearly hoping to lure in customers who want style, but will also not compromise on substance.
The candy bar type device is a corporate user's dream and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional platform. Access to the Internet can be had by various options including GPS navigation, EDGE/GPRS and WiFi. Other features include Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The Asus P320 Mini PDA measures 99mm by 54.5mm by 13.35mm and weighs just 105 grams. It also has 128MB flash memory and 64MB DDR RAM besides boasting of 2.6-inches TFT touch-screen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and a 2 mega pixels camera.
The inclusion of 'Asus Today' application allows users to seamlessly access calendar, messages, time, weather, media player as well as the RSS reader. The latter allows users of the P320 mini PDA to keep up to date with current events and news updates.
Another application called Ur Time enables users set default times for four different countries on the phone. The Asus P320 mini PDA is available through India Digital Lifestyle Distributors (IDLDPL) at a suggested retail price of Rs 12,900.
The P320 also offers 4 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time. Business applications available in the PDA include Windows Live, Word (editor), Excel (editor), Power Point (viewer), IE, Clock & Alarms, Calendar, Calculator, File Explorer as well as Contacts list.
