TUESDAY, June 17, (News Locale) - Details of two new Sony Ericsson mobiles being readied for launch have been leaked online. One of the hand sets is called F305 and is being touted as a mobile gaming handset.
If the rumors are true, then it appears that Sony Ericsson is gearing up to challenge Nokia's Ngage series. The details of the F series were first leaked on the unofficial Sony Ericsson blog (http://www.blog.se-nse.net). The blog says that the F305 is Sony Ericsson's first Motion Gaming-enabled phone.
The F305 has a 2-inch large TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, and up to 262.144 colors. The gaming rival to Nokia's Ngage weighs about 97.5 grams and measures 96 x 47 x 14.6 millimetres. Touted as a low/mid-level phone, the blog said that it would come pre-loaded with three mobile games including Bowling, Bass fishing & Jockey.
The quad-band GSM phone also sports two PlayStation buttons, stereo rear speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, Memory Stick Micro slot, TrackID track recognition and built-in FM.
The blog also revealed details of Sony Ericsson S302 Snapshot. The first of the new Snapshot series, it is a camera-enabled quadband GSM phone that sports a 2 mega pixel camera. Other features include A2DP-support, media player, support for various audio codecs, PlayNow, TrackID, a built-in FM radio and the Access NetFront xHTML web browser.
Pricing for the two phones is as yet unknown, but both sets will be announced on Tuesday June 17.
