Acer Liquid Android 1.6 High Definition Smartphone In India |

THURSDAY, February 4, (News Locale) - After giving consumers some nifty laptops, Acer has moved into the smartphone segment with the introduction of Acer Liquid. The device, which also happens to be the world’s first Android 1.6 high definition smartphone, will be available in India at a price of Rs 24,900.
The Acer Liquid is equipped with a 3.5-inch display with TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution is 480 x 800 pixels and a 5.0 mega pixel camera, which has a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. The camera includes auto focus and a LED flash. It is a sleek and stylish device with dimensions of 115 x 62.5 x 12.5 mm and weight of just about 135 grams with battery.
The smartphone is powered by Android 1.6 operating system and runs on Qualcomm snapdragon 1 GHz processor. Connectivity features include 3G/GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, while it has 256MB RAM with a microSD slot of up to 32GB. Other features in the Acer Liquid include a 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and USB Connectivity. The handset also has 1350 mAh battery that offers up to 5 hours of talk time.
One of the best features of Acer Liquid is the presence of three home screens that allow consumers to customize different widgets in each of them. Social media integration is also possible and consumers can integrate contacts from social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Flickr seamlessly. Other notable features include high-class multimedia, web browsing and video streaming.
The Acer Liquid is available in white, black and red colors and will hit the Indian markets in this month.
Acer Smart Handheld Business Group (SHBG)’s India Country Head Richard Tan told newspersons that Acer Liquid was the perfect professional and personal companion for consumers as it had speed as well as style.
