SUNDAY, February 7, (News Locale) - With the market lapping up touch screen phones in a big way, Finnish mobile giant Nokia Inc has decided to give consumers what they want. Following on the heels of the launch of 3G touch screen Nokia 5230, the company has introduced 2G touch screen Nokia 5233 in India at an affordable price of Rs 7,500.

The Nokia 5233 is powered by 434 MHz ARM processor and runs on Symbian S60v5 operating system. The handset has a 3.2 inches TFT resistive touchscreen with 360 x 640 pixels resolution, 16GB expandable memory, GPRS/EGDE, Bluetooth and FM radio with RDS, A-GPS, audio and video player.

Other notable features include OVI maps. Photo editor, Flash Lite 3.0, downloadable games and up to 10.7 hours talk time and standby time of 455 hours. It also has dedicated keys for volume control, power, camera and application launch. Social networking is a big part of the Nokia 5233 as Facebook, MySpace, You Tube, Friendster, Hi5 and Amazon are pre-loaded in the phone.

The Nokia 5233 comes in three color combinations including - White/Red, White/Silver and Black/Dark silver and will be available at all mobile retail shops in the country.

The Nokia 5233 is an eco-friendly phone as it is free of PVC materials and is up to 80 % recyclable.
